‘Customs warehousing’ procedure is qualified as a suspensive customs procedure. This procedure may be applied to non-Union goods for an indefinite time, which are not charged with import duties and are not subject to the measures of the commercial policy. Placement of Union goods under this procedure is possible when the application of measures applied in the export of such goods is contemplated.
Necessary transport documents in case of IMPORT/EXPORT
The transportation of the goods related to international economic transactions requires issuance of special documents which depend on the type of the means of transport. They certify the acceptance of the goods for loading, the very loading and their shipment (consignment). In light of this, such documents are known as loading, transport or shipment ones.
In compliance with the existing international conventions, the transport documents are classified in the following groups:
• documents of contract such as: bill of lading, waybill (rail waybill – CIM, road waybill – CMR, air waybill /receipt/), despatch notes for post parcels and multimodal (combined) transport documents;
• documents of receipt such as: captain’s receipt, copies of rail and road waybills;
• documents of cargo content such as cargo, transport and container manifests and notes;
• documents of goods arrival – these are the advice notes of arrival issued by the carriers. They are sent to the recipients so that they can prepare for transfer of the title of the goods and to the terminal operators so that they can prepare for warehousing of the respective goods;
• cargo invoices. A contract is concluded between the carrier and the exporter (shipper), in compliance with certain terms and conditions and against payment. The remuneration paid is called freightage.
We will prepare and check all transport documents depending on the type of transport. We will offer adequate and competent solution to all questions arising in the course of work. We will check whether you need a licence for import, as there is control over the import of some types of goods, such as firearms, foods and textiles. Whether you will need a licence may also depend on the country of origin of the goods. We will consult you on the payable duty amount, which, depending on the country of origin, may be decreased or equal to zero.
Clearance of consignments
All customs operations for import and export already require compulsory registration with the electronic portal of the Customs Agency, which is carried out with an е-signature. This provision has been in effect since 1 February 2018 and applies to both companies and natural persons who carry such operations on a regular basis.
The import of goods from countries outside the EU is normally subjected to duty, and in addition VAT is payable on their value. There are exceptions only for small consignments – if the delivery is up to 30 BGN. 20% VAT is charged between 30 BGN and the BGN equivalent of 150 Euro, and over that value the goods are subjected to duty/excise, if not exempted. It should be noted that the duty or excise are charged first, VAT comes last.
With us, the consignments charged with duty are cleared fast and efficiently in Varna, Sofia and Burgas.
